Carina Lau gives up on having a child

The star is pulling the brakes on baby-making plans with the blessings of Tony Leung’s mother

Actress Carina Lau and Tony Leung went on high gear in the baby-making plans soon after their wedding two years ago.

Actress Carina Lau and Tony Leung went on high gear in the baby-making plans soon after their wedding two years ago.

Since then, Carina's fluctuating body size has caused many rumours about her being pregnant. But so far, the couple has not been successful.

Recently, the couple is said to have given up on trying for a child as Carina nears menopause.

Today, 21st July, is the star couple's second anniversary and the couple is reportedly celebrating the special day with Tony's mother over a meal.

Although Tony's mother has been longing for a grandchild, she's supportive of the decision.

"Carina tried her best already; we can't force it happen."

With the burden of bearing a child lifted, Carina seemed to be in high spirits when she was spotted out shopping; she even smiled at paparazzo along the way.

Selina Jen calls the shots

The singer wants a honeymoon in the Maldives despite boyfriend’s wishes to visit China

It is not hard to see who wears the pants in this relationship.

After Selina Jen's boyfriend Richard Chang openly confessed his love to her at S.H.E's concert, the pair's marriage plans became a talking point.

When reporters quizzed Selina about her honeymoon plans, she revealed that both of them have conflicting ideas.

"He wanted to go to a place with a panoramic view like Jiu Zhai Gou (Sichuan, China) but I flatly rejected him. I can go there with him in the future but not for our honeymoon."

She then went on to say that her ideal honeymoon destination would be either the Maldives or Europe.

The 28-year-old told reporters that she hopes to get hitched next year, since it will be impossible for preparations to be done by this year.

"We have quite an age gap so we want to get this done with as soon as possible!"

Selina recently took over the hosting position for Guess Guess Guess with Harlem Yu when veteran host Jacky Wu left the show.

Although ratings of the show have been falling over the years, Selina was confident that it will not get any worse.

"It will only go up; there's a very big space for improvements."

"That's because it has already hit rock bottom," added Harlem.

Michelle Yeoh happily in love

The star was spotted in France with her beau and the pair is still going strong after six years

Actress Michelle Yeoh and her fiancé Jean Todt has been engaged for over six years already, yet the two still seem to be deeply in love with each other.

According to reports, the couple went for a vacation at Saint Tropez in France after Michelle wrapped up filming for the John Woo's Reign of Assassins.

Hugging, holding hands, whispering into each other's ears, the lovebirds could hardly keep their hands off each other as they walked the streets of Saint Tropez, impervious to the envious glance of onlookers.

Michelle met Todt through her ex-beau six years ago. The couple reportedly got engaged after dating for just three months, but their relationship only went public two years ago.

Michelle once told reporters that Todt is a romantic and asks her to marry him every day.

Her reply to this romantic gesture?

"I'll tell you tomorrow."

Faye Wong rejects bigger concert venue for fans

The pop diva reportedly turned down offers for additional performances at a bigger venue, citing concerns that fans would not be able to see her

Absence does make the heart grow fonder in the case of Faye Wong.

After a five-year hiatus, the pop diva proves that she has still got it. Sales for her concerts have been booming even though it is just in the pre-order phase.

The former diva is set for a comeback with a concert tour, starting from Beijing and Shanghai.

Pre-order sales began last Friday and according to the ticketing officials, sales have gone off the charts.

Even with such a warm reception from fans, Faye reportedly turned down requests from the organizing committee for an additional performance in a larger venue.

Her reason?

When the venue is bigger than one that can hold 30,000 people, she would be too far away from her fans.

The star revealed that she would want to feel the energy and response from the crowd; if the venue is too big, she would not be able to feel that.

She added that fans would probably be seeing a tiny figure of her on stage and that defeats the purpose of going to a concert.

Earlier, reports suggested that Faye was making a comeback due to financial difficulties. However, it was also said that the comeback concert was simply a result of a casual conversation with her manager, in which she confided that she misses the stage.

With the pop diva's well-known tendency to do things as she like and the concern she showed about expanding the concert space, it is probably more likely she yearns to go on stage and perform for those who truly adore her.

Lee Hom accused of being difficult

Producer of a Chinese variety show accused the star of being snobbish and changing his script at will

Singer-actor Lee Hom was in China promoting his new movie Love In Disguise when a producer accused the star of being snobbish.

According to reports, Lee Hom went on a talk-show together with the cast to promote his movie.

While the atmosphere on set was friendly and filled with laughter, the producer of the talk-show later posted a message on his weibo (Chinese equivalent of Twitter) implying that Lee Hom was picking on the script and being difficult.

"You are a new director and I respect your passion for your work. However, I do not agree with the rudeness you showed by casting the script aside."

Audience who were at the filming set that day immediately put up their own videos to rebuke the producer's claims.

In the video, Lee Hom appeared to be nothing like what the producer claimed; he was just standing by and listening as the staff explained the script.

Lee Hom's cast-mate Chen Han Dian's manager also questioned the producer's claims.

"We were there the whole day and we didn't see anything different."

"Changing contents of the script is a common thing, I don't understand how this can be a problem."

Fans of Lee Hom demanded for an apology from the producer, who has since removed his weibo account.
