In the autumn of 2013, De Nieuwe Kerk Amsterdam is mounting a superb exhibition that tells the story of the fascinating Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Thanks to a partnership with the prestigious Nanjing Museum in China, De Nieuwe Kerk will be temporarily hosting an original and exclusive Ming collection. Magnificent luxury items and rare objects from the Imperial Court will be on display. Visitors will also be able to gain an impression of the everyday lives of ‘ordinary’ Ming subjects. In addition, the exhibition will dwell on the dynasty’s great cultural and social accomplishments, and particularly its influence in shaping China’s present-day national identity.

The Big Four 大家利事 World Tour

On Monday the 18th of March The Big Four will give their first and solo concert in Europe in The O2 London. The Big Four is a male formation of Andy Hui (許志安), Dicky Cheung (張衞健), William So (蘇永康) and Edmond Leung (梁漢文), four Hong Kong artists who had gained many years of popularity and who are also long time buddies. For the first time in the history of Chinese concerts in Europe, there are a large number of big names from the Hong Kong music scene sharing one stage. It is going to be an unforgettable and amazing night, with great music and one of the finest Hong Kong musicians e.g. Mark Lui (雷頌德) as musical director, Eddie Ng (吳國敬)as one of the backing vocalist, Joey Tang (鄧建明) on guitar, Pal Sin/豹哥 (單立文 ) on bass and Dennie Wong (黃丹儀) on keyboards.

Theatre of Changzhou

In April 2013 Theatre De NWE Vorst will be transformed into Theatre of Changzhou. Theatre De NWE Vorst, Fontys School for Performing Arts and Het Zuidelijk Toneel, in association with the municipality of Tilburg, would like to introduce the audience, the companies and the local government of Tilburg to their Chinese sister city Changzhou.

Theatre of Changzhou will take place from 18th until 28th of April 2013 in Theatre De NWE Vorst.
